Works under direct supervision of Park Supervisor and general direction of the Precinct 1 Commissioner. Responsibilities include customer service, providing information to the public, revenue collection, permit sales, campsite registration, accounting for daily revenue, routine clerical work and cleaning of front office and maintenance. Must be able to communicate effectively and perform other park related work as assigned. Complies with all State, County, and Park rules, regulations and procedures. May perform varied and routine work including cleaning restroom facilities, and policing property for trash.
Experience in general clerical, cash handling and customer service. Knowledge of the operation of standard office equipment and the ability to type and operate a personal computer, cash register, telephone and adding machine if required for performance of job duties. Ability to use and maintain a filing system. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, departmental personnel, volunteers and the general public. General janitorial experience.
Provide own transportation to and from work.
High School graduate or GED equivalency.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to work in public park with overnight camping, in all weather conditions and work flexible schedule including hours other than 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., holidays and weekends. Necessary to possess and maintain a Texas drivers license at a level acceptable for insurance purposes. Must be bond-able and able to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others.
