Foreclosure Sale Notice Information
Effective Jan. 1, 2014, the fee for posting a Notice of Sale is $13.00 if posted by the Trustee, or $15.00 if posted by the Clerk's Office. Foreclosure Sale Notices must be posted at least 21 days prior to the sale. The location for posting Notices of Sale is the bulletin board inside the South basement doors of the Johnson County Historic Courthouse facing Chambers Street.

The Clerk's office does not conduct or participate in the Foreclosure Sale and has no involvement in the foreclosure process other than maintaining public records which are filed by interested parties.  Notices of Sale are generally posted by the Trustee or Substitute Trustee appointed to each property and conduct the Foreclosure Sale for that property.  All questions or inquiries regarding the status of a property to be sold at foreclosure should be directed to the current Trustee listed on the Notice.

An itemized listing for the next monthly Foreclosure Sale is available for $1 per page in Room B15 Deed Records located in the South hallway at basement level (817-202-4000 x 1625. Monthly foreclosure sale notices are scanned and available for download by clicking the link(s) at the bottom of this page.  (The files are large and may take some time to download-Adobe Reader software required.)

The Foreclosure Sale starts at 10:00AM on the first Tuesday of every month.  The location for foreclosure sale is outside the West doors of the Johnson County Historic Courthouse at 2 N. Main Street in Cleburne (exterior steps to the main floor facing Main Street).  Constable's Sale (Tax Sale) is conducted at the same time and location by the Constable's Office. For more info go to http://www.johnsoncountytx.org/constables/sales/.  We ask that attendees be courteous and avoid blocking doorway entrances as well as exterior or interior stairways which are also used by other members of the public as well as courthouse personnel.

Tax Sales are posted and conducted by the Constable's Office.  Neither the Clerk's Office or Constable's Office receives a summary record of the results of the sales.
