All cases heard by the County Court At Law No. 1 and County Court At Law No. 2 originate with the County Clerk - Court Section. Located at 204 S. Buffalo Room 407 at the Guinn Justice Center just two blocks southwest of downtown Cleburne. The role of the Court Section is to accept the initial filing of cases, record all instruments filed in each case, make them available to the court as required, and to inform the parties of important actions in the case by issuing appropriate process as requested. The Johnson County Collections office is responsible for collecting fees such as court costs and fines for misdemeanor cases and traffic cases that are appealed through the Johnson County Courts. All fines and court costs are due at the time of sentencing unless arrangements are made for installment payments. Located at 204 S. Buffalo Room 404 at the Guinn Justice Center just two blocks southwest of downtown Cleburne. |

The Real Property Records/Vital Statistics Section of the County Clerk's office is located at the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Cleburne at 2 North Main Street. All real property information is filed at this location including Deeds, Plats, Brands, Military Discharge DD214s, and Assumed Name/DBA Certificates and U.S. Passport Applications/Photos. Hand-carried Recording will be accepted in the Deed Room B15 located in the South hallway at the basement level. Vital Statistics Recording includes marriage licenses, birth and death records. Marriage license application and certified copies of birth & death records may also be obtained at the Burleson Sub-Courthouse. Click on the link above for more information.
Our Passport Office in Cleburne is now located in Room 131 at the Historic Courthouse at 2 N. Main St. in Downtown Cleburne. Passports Applications are also accepted at the Burleson Sub-Courthouse located at 247 Elk Dr. Room 103 in Burleson (across from the High School).
