As required by the Texas Property Code 51.0022, beginning January 1, 2012, all residential property Notices of Foreclosure Sale and Foreclosure Sale Deeds must be submitted with a completed form prescribed by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. Foreclosure Sale Notices or Deeds received without the completed form will be returned to the filer. Downloadable forms have been provided on this page or you can visit their website at http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/housing-center/foreclosure-data.htm for more information.
Foreclosure Sale starts at 10:00AM on the first Tuesday of every month. The location for foreclosure sale is outside the West doors of the Johnson County Historic Courthouse at 2 N. Main Street in Cleburne (exterior steps to the main floor which faces Main Street). Constable's Sale (Tax Sale) is conducted at the same time and location by the Constable's Office (for more info go to http://www.johnsoncountytx.org/departments/constables/sale.php.)
Foreclosure Sale Notices must be posted at least 21 days prior to the sale. The location for posting of Notice of Sale is the bulletin board inside the South basement doors of the Johnson County Historic Courthouse which faces Chambers Street. The fee for posting a notice is $8 for notice posted by customer, or $10 for notice posted by deputy clerk. An itemized listing for the next monthly foreclosure sale is available for $1 per page in Room B15 located in the South hallway at basement level.
The Clerk's office does not conduct or participate in the sale. Foreclosure Notices are generally posted by the Trustees who conduct the Foreclosure Sale.
Tax Sale Notices are posted by the Constable's Office who conducts the Constable's Sale. The Clerk's Office and Constable's Office do not have a summary record of the results of the sales. |
