Immediately upon leaving the courtroom, the defendant will be required to report to the Collections Department in Room 404. At that time all fines and court costs must be paid in full or arrangements made for installment payments. Generally, all fines and court costs will be due in full within 90 days of sentencing.
ALL FINES AND COURT COSTS ARE DUE AT TIME OF SENTENCE UNLESS ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE FOR INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS. IF YOU LEAVE WITHOUT MAKING PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS, YOU WILL BE IN VIOLATION OF YOUR COURT ORDER AND SUBJECT TO ARREST.
A fine is part of the punishment for the crime committed. Court costs are part of the expense of legally processing your case. Payment of both is a condition of Community Supervision. Failure to pay either one can result in arrest and confinement. A warrant for your arrest may be issued for failure to pay your fine and/or court costs. If arrested on a warrant issued for failure to pay fine and/or court costs, you will be held without bond until fine and/or court costs are paid in full (in cash) or until time served satisfies total due, unless the Judge orders otherwise.
RESTITUTION AND PROBATION FEES WILL BE PAID AT THE COMMUNITY SUPERVISION DEPARTMENT.
Your fine and court cost payment MUST be made in cash, money order, cashier's check or credit card, in person or by mail, at the address below. All money orders and cashier's checks must be in the correct amount and made payable to JOHNSON COUNTY CLERK.
