Located at 2 N. Main St. at the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Cleburne, the Recording/Vital Statistics Department of the County Clerk’s Office includes Real Property Recording, Assumed Name Certificates (DBAs), Military Discharges (DD214), Brands, Plats, Estrays, Foreclosure Listings, and U.S. Passport Applications/Photos. Vital Statistics Recording includes Birth, Death, and Marriage Records. Hours of operation are 8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday. Passport Hours are 8:00 to 4:30 (closed for lunch from 12:00-12:30) Monday through Friday in Room 131. After 4:00 by appointment only.
The satellite office of the Vital Statistics Department located at the Burleson Sub-Courthouse at 247 Elk Dr. in Burleson is able to provide assistance to qualified applicants who wish to obtain a marriage license, Texas birth certificate, Johnson County death certificate or a U.S. Passport Application and/or Photo. Hours of operation are 8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday. Passport Hours are 11:30 to 4:30, but only by appointment after 4:00. (817) 202-2968 or 817-558-0111 x 1725 or 1726.
