  • Minutes from March Meeting (Minutes are posted on website)
    • Lynn was not at our meeting

       

  • Treasurer’s Report
    • Wilma
      • Bank Account and CD Balances were approved 
  •  

    Sales and Expenditures 

                   Sales:

    • $37.00

       

          Expenditures:

    • $0

  • Old Business

     

    • Update on 5013c status
      • Texas Comptroller’s Office informed us our status was fine. John recommended we get an email for confirmation and Darlene will request email from Comptroller’s Office.

         

      • Advertising in local papers, etc.
        • It was decided that advertising in Johnson County papers would be too expensive.
        • Darlene will post sale items on our Facebook page weekly.

           

  • New Business

     

    • Discussion of events to attend
      • It was decided that Friends would procure a booth at the following events:
        • Alvarado Old Settlers and Pioneers Reunion
        • Chisholm Trail Pioneer Days
        • Birthday celebration for SF Engine 3417
        • Burleson Founders Days

           

           

  • Any further business/issues for discussion?
  • $176.84 (skirt for sales table)

     

  • Update on tribute to honor Jack Carlson plaque (final decision)
    • Lynn was not at our meeting
    • This issue will be resolved at our August meeting

       

  • Wilma related that the Cleburne Times Review is selling Centennial Edition Newspapers for $5 each to help with the “Portal Project” and suggested that they be sold at the Layland, the Library and the Courthouse Museum.
  • A motion was made to allow the Courthouse Museum to sell these papers. The motion was approved and Wilma will let us know when the newspapers will be delivered.
  • There were no further business/discussions and motion was made to adjourn.
