The Johnson County Purchasing Office is dedicated to provide the best service to all county departments with the interest that best serves the citizens of Johnson County. The office is overseen by a Purchasing Agent who is appointed by a Purchasing Board. This board is comprised of Johnson County’s three District Judges, the County Judge, and a County Commissioner.

| The statutory responsibility of the Purchasing Agent is to purchase all supplies, materials, and equipment, to contract for all repairs required or used by the County and to supervise all purchases made on competitive bids made in compliance with the Texas Local Government Code (LGC), other relevant law and best business practices. |
