Job Description:

DUTIES
With minimal supervision, drives and operates with a reasonable degree of skill, a variety of heavy road construction equipment such as maintainers, dozers, backhoes, rollers, front-end loaders, trailers, gravel, asphalt, mowers, etc.;checks and fuels vehicles and performs occasional maintenance duties; may assist mechanic in performing repairs on equipment.  Performs other related road construction and maintenance duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE:
Two years experience in heavy equipment operation.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED equivalency. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed as a class "B" commercial operator in the State of Texas


 GENERAL PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or others.
