CR 513 (Gina Drive) from CR 611 to CR 616 plus CR 616 from Gina Drive to CR 514
We are currently tearing up these roads to completely rebuild them. Right now we are in the process of grinding them up and applying more road base as needed to strengthen the subgrade of the roadway so that future traffic will not damage it as in the past. We expect that they will remain as gravel roads until the spring when the temperatures are high enough so that our oil emulsion will adhere to the road surface.

Over the next few weeks expect some delays and inconveniences, however that is inherent in road building. The good news is that when we are done, residents in the area will have a completely new road that should last for years!

We appreciate your patience and understanding.
C.R. 616 from FM 917 to CR 514
Precinct #3 crews have begun rebuilding C.R. 616 from the intersection with FM917 to just north of the intersection with C.R. 514. We've ground up the old road, hauled in extra road base to level the road, and road-graded it close to the final shape. Because of the cold and wet weather, we cannot apply the top coating with a chip seal (oil and rock) at this time, but must wait until spring for warmer temperatures. It's not because we don't want to work in the cold, but because the oil emulsion will not adhere and set correctly in cold weather. With the emulsion costing over $17,000.00 per mile, we certainly don't want to waste it.

As needed, we will continue to road-grade the road to keep it as smooth as possible during the winter months.

The good news is that, with the traffic using the gravel road throughout the winter, when we DO get the topcoat applied, it will be well packed and make a stronger road than if we had used our equipment to pack it before applying the top coat.

Over the next few weeks residents in that area can expect occasional delays, dusty conditions, and some inconveniences. We apologize for this, however, they are inherent with building and repairing roads.

Your patience is appreciated while we rebuild your road!
C.R. 610 from C.R. 513 (Gina Road) to FM 917
We will soon begin tearing up C.R. 610 from C.R. 513 (Gina Road) to FM 917. This is a well travelled road that is in much needed repair. The project should start in mid February and we expect that they will remain as gravel roads until the spring when the temperatures are high enough so that our oil emulsion will adhere to the road surface.

Over the next few weeks expect some delays and inconveniences, however that is inherent in road building. The good news is that when we are done, residents in the area will have a completely new road that should last for years!

We appreciate your patience and understanding.
